Community Tool Box: This site supports work in promoting community health and development. The Tool Box provides over 6,000 pages of practical skill-building information on over 250 different topics. Topic sections include step-by-step instruction, examples, check-lists, and related resources.

CompassPoint Nonprofit Services

Free Management Library: Developed by the Management Assistance Program (MAP) for Nonprofits and Authenticity Consulting, the library has an index of over 675 topic areas that include helpful articles within the library as well as links to relevant information on other web sites.

Help 4 NonProfits & Tribes: Offers a useful monthly e-mail and resource library and also contains information on nonprofits in Tribal communities.

Minnesota Council of Nonprofits: The Info Central section of this web site is based on the organization's guidelines "Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence." The site contains extensive information on governance including a featured article, FAQ's, the basics, templates and sample documents.

Partnership for Effective Nonprofits

Seattle University's Nonprofit Leadership Program: The MNPL program is oriented toward working professionals who currently are nonprofit executives or who expect to be in such positions within three years of completing the program.

The Charity Channel: This Canadian site has many features useful to managers of volunteers or those involved with nonprofit boards. This includes an extensive library, e-newsletters designed for different countries (including the USA) and several free discussion groups.

The Cohen Report

The Nonprofit Center: This web site contains extensive information in its Management Tips and Templates section about Boards and Leadership and a variety of other categories. Resources include 12 Weeks To a Better Board and What To Ask BEFORE Accepting a Seat. Groundwire: Groundwire (formerly ONE/Northwest )offers a variety of services (online networking, technical assessments, volunteer matching) to the Northwest nonprofit community at subsidized rates.

HandsNet: Empowers organizations to integrate effective online communications strategies to strengthen their programs and policies. Services include: Webclipper which tracks the issues you specify, delivering daily updates to your email box, and Training and Capacity Building which offers a range of hands-on-classes, strategic planning workshops, and management seminars.

Low-Income Networking and Communications Project: The Welfare Law Center's Low-Income Networking and Communications (LINC) Project is a nationally recognized initiative to enable low-income grassroots groups to use technology strategically to advance campaigns on economic security issues and to build their members' leadership and computer technology skills.

Network for Good Nonprofit Resources: Helping.org offers comprehensive online resources and tools to help nonprofits integrate the power of the Internet into their strategic planning and to organize, recruit, fundraise and publicize their mission and successes online.

Nonprofit Tech Association: An organization that works toward combining technology integration, implementation, user support, research, policy, and technology transfer in the nonprofit sector.

NPower: NPower's mission is helping other non-profits use technology to better serve their communities. Consulting, Training and Community Services programs for non-profits in the Puget Sound region, and on-line library of resources.
