In addition to assisting organizations with specific projects, The Foraker Group and the Pre-Development Program provides classes that are available to the public. The following are descriptions of currently available classes:
Class: Planning for a Capital Project

Subjects covered will include the steps in planning, designing and constructing a facility, with emphasis on the early planning – pre-development – phase.

Class: Green Building 101
Are you curious about the world of "green" buildings? Sign up for this class and learn the basic concepts of green design and how to apply them to your facilities. This session will focus on issues related to the energy, financial and environmental aspects of high-performance "green" buildings, especially as they apply to conditions in Alaska.

This class describes the advantages and disadvantages of the most common construction alternatives and de-mystifies such terms as "design/build" and "qualifications based selection."
