The Foraker Group has adapted the planning process of James Collins and Jerry Porras, as described in "Building Your Company's Vision" (Harvard Business Review, Sept/Oct 1996) to meet the needs of nonprofit organizations. This planning process enables a nonprofit board to identify its Core Purpose, Core Values and Strategic Directions. The process opens the organization to new opportunities and serves as a motivation for both board and staff to thrive in the marketplace.
