Standing Beside Alaska's Non-Profits

How to Apply

Pre-Development Program services are not available through an open application process.  Organizations are invited to participate through a selection process initiated by one of the program funders.  Interested organizations should contact the funder whose priorities most closely align with their project to request consideration to be included in Pre-D.  If the funder is interested in the project, you will be invited to submit an application.

We urge organizations to start this process as soon as they believe they want to conduct a capital project.  The earlier they begin, the more likely they will be to have a successful outcome.

Currently our supporting funders are the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, Denali Commission, Mat-Su Health Foundation and Rasmuson Foundation. Each funder has its criteria for eligibility.  In general, only nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, municipalities, or tribal organizations will qualify.

Each funder establishes priorities each year for the types of projects it will nominate for Pre-D. Currently AMHTA focuses on projects that will serve Trust beneficiaries. Denali Commission focuses on clinics and senior housing.  Mat-Su Health Foundation focuses on projects that benefit Valley residents.  And Rasmuson Foundation supports arts and culture and social service facilities, among others. More specific information can be obtained at the link for each organization.
