Evaluating Executive Performance
Evaluation is an important process in any nonprofit. There are a range of tools and approaches for performance management and development of executive directors that can be utilized; each with its merits and shortcomings. In this class you will learn the components that make up an effective evaluation process including:
- The critical factors that should be considered in the evaluation
- How to engage the entire board in the process
- Whether and how to solicit information from employees
- Whether and how to solicit information from members of the community
This class focuses primarily on Executive Director evaluations, but the available techniques can apply to most managerial and professional level positions in nonprofits.
