Internal Controls: Who Touches the Money

Partner: $35.00 / General: $65.00

Whether your organization is large or small, new or seasoned, how the money is managed is a daily concern.  Can you say with confidence as a board and staff member that the organization has rules and is following them?  Do you know what your role is in that process?

This course will focus on the common mistakes organizations make when it comes to handling incoming funds and provide a process for establishing an internal process that sets the organization on course for fiscal responsibility, appropriate transparency and donor accountability.  Specifically this course will look at the internal controls for funds generated through fundraising, charitable gaming and related and unrelated business income. It will also highlight the role of the IRS  in the process. This course is ideal for board finance committee members and staff who are setting, overseeing or implementing the plan.
