Make a Special Gift

The opportunities below are examples of areas where you might consider making a gift:

Educational scholarships – Scholarships to our Certificate or Catalyst programs can be used to ensure statewide participation and to reduce tuition for participants from rural organizations or those with smaller budgets.
Regional programming – Travel in Alaska is expensive. Gifts can be made to bring Foraker training and capacity building opportunities to all parts of the state.
Co-branding a program – We welcome donors to co-brand with some of our educational programs like our classes in financial literacy or our Executive Leadership Initiative.
Sponsorship of our biennial Foraker Leadership Summit – Our next summit takes place in May 2019. Please call us if you’re interested in sponsoring this signature nonprofit event.
Research collaboration – You may sponsor or co-brand our nonprofit research. Examples include the Foraker Salary and Benefits Survey or Alaska’s Nonprofit Sector: Generating Economic Impact.
Public policy support – Help us amplify the sector’s voice and demonstrate how we contribute to a diverse Alaska economy and create healthy communities. Your support funds advocacy (not lobbying) activities such as providing testimony, building coalitions, and showing the need for fair and accurate census data collection.
Capacity building – You can help us deliver individualized training, facilitation, and mentoring on a variety of leadership and management topics.
Sultana Scholarship Fund – You can help those organizations that would like to enroll in Sultana’s program for capacity building and fiscal sponsorship, but do not meet the minimum budget threshold.
