Alaska Health Fair, Inc. is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of Alaskans through community health education, preventive screenings, and affordable blood testing. Since 1980, Alaska Health Fair has partnered with communities, volunteers, healthcare providers, and local organizations to deliver nearly 100 health fairs each year, helping thousands of Alaskans take charge of their health through early detection and wellness education.

Alaska Health Fair, Inc TVNR Associate Program Director – Interior Alaska 0.5–0.8 FTE Position | Alaska Based -Northern Interior Region | Travel Required About Alaska Health Fair

For more than 45 years, Alaska Health Fair has helped improve the health and wellness of communities across Alaska by providing affordable preventive health screenings, wellness education, and community health resources. We are seeking an organized, motivated, community-minded Associate Program Director to coordinate and produce health fairs throughout Interior Alaska.

Position Summary
This position combines event coordination, community outreach, volunteer management, logistics planning, records maintenance, and relationship development. Frequent travel throughout Interior Alaska is an essential part of this role.

Primary Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate community & worksite health fairs throughout Interior Alaska
Build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders
Recruit, train, and support volunteers
Support and train local Site Coordinators
Coordinate event logistics, scheduling, and supplies
Support marketing and community outreach efforts
Manage event documentation, reconciliation, and reporting
Represent Alaska Health Fair professionally within communities
Other duties as assigned

Travel Expectations
Regular travel throughout Northern Region Interior Alaska communities
Overnight travel during health fair season may be required
Driving in all-weather /road conditions will be required
Transporting fragile/heavy event materials and supplies
This is not primarily an office-based position

Qualifications
Experience in event planning, outreach, nonprofit or healthcare work preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Higher education preferred or equivalent professional experience

Position Details
Compensation: $26.00- $29.62/hr depending on experience
Normal range: 24–32 hours per week
Availability to work Saturdays is required based on program and event schedules during each Spring and Fall health fair season.
This position is eligible for employee benefits in accordance with Alaska Health Fair benefit policies
Reports to TVNR Program Director and/or AHF Executive Director
Valid driver’s license required; Good driving record required
Reliable transportation required
Ability to lift 50 to 60 pounds
Travel throughout Northern Region Interior Alaska is required
