ANCHORAGE'S SOCCER CLUB SINCE 1982 Since its founding more than 40 years ago, Cook Inlet Soccer Club (CISC) has grown to become Anchorage's largest youth soccer club and one of the most successful clubs in Alaska. Each year, more than 2,500 players participate in CISC's recreational and competitive programs. The club has won more than 82 state championships—including eight of the 16 state titles awarded in 2025—as well as more than 100 local and national tournaments. CISC has also helped more players advance to collegiate and other higher levels of competition than any other soccer club in Alaska.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Cook Inlet Soccer Club (CISC) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead one of Alaska's largest youth sports organizations. Serving thousands of players and families annually, CISC is committed to providing exceptional soccer experiences while developing athletes, coaches, and community leaders.

The CEO serves as the organization's senior executive and is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and growth of the club. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO oversees all business operations, finances, facilities, staff, strategic initiatives, and community partnerships.

This position is ideal for a proven executive with experience leading complex organizations, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, overseeing facilities and capital projects, and building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership

  • Execute the club's strategic plan and annual goals.
  • Lead and supervise club staff, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and service.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and club operations.
  • Support board governance, committees, and strategic initiatives.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the club's annual operating budget.
  • Maintain sound financial controls and long-term fiscal sustainability.
  • Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and reserve management.
  • Pursue sponsorships, grants, fundraising opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead long-range financial and capital planning efforts.

Facilities & Capital Projects

  • Manage all club-owned and leased facilities.
  • Develop and implement facility maintenance and improvement plans.
  • Lead planning and execution of capital projects and infrastructure investments.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, public agencies, and community partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand and enhance club facilities.

Operations & Human Resources

  • Oversee all business and operational functions of the club.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of programs, events, and member services.
  • Recruit, develop, and evaluate staff.
  • Establish organizational systems, policies, and performance standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and risk management programs

Community & Stakeholder Relations

  • Serve as the public face of Cook Inlet Soccer Club.
  • Build relationships with families, sponsors, donors, municipalities, schools, and soccer organizations.
  • Represent the club locally, statewide, and nationally.
  • Support program growth and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, public administration, sports management, or related field or at least seven years in senior management or executive leadership roles.
  • Seven or more years of senior management or executive leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, personnel, and organizational operations.
  • Experience overseeing facilities, infrastructure, construction, or capital projects.
  • Strong financial, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Preferred

  • MBA, MPA, or related advanced degree.
  • Experience leading a nonprofit, membership organization, sports organization, or community-based enterprise.
  • Experience with fundraising, sponsorship development, and grant management.
  • Familiarity with Alaska communities and youth athletics.
  • Compensation

Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Expected salary range: $105,000–$125,000 annually, with potential for performance-based incentives.
