QUALIFICATIONS
Personal: The individual for this position must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, self-confidence and be able to advocate on behalf of clients with compassion. The person must be dependable, be able to work with a team of co-workers in stressful situations and to work with people from diverse cultures whose first language is not English. The individual must also be committed to providing legal representation to indigent individuals and those normally excluded from the justice system.
Education/Experience: J.D. degree required and licensed to practice law in Alaska or be eligible for a waiver. Excellent oral and written communication skills and work experience with culturally diverse clients required. Bilingual preferred and minimum of two years legal experience representing immigrant survivors of human trafficking or other crimes preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
