We are grateful for a thoughtful and dedicated community of nonprofit leaders. Thank you for making the 2023 Leadership Summit a place of reflection and learning. Together, we are creating a resilient and reimagined Alaska!

How will you take the concepts you learned back to your organization? For starters, you can log back into the conference app for the next 3 months (until August 12) to watch the recorded sessions and download the handouts. We have posted the slides we have available from the speakers. We encourage you to review what you have learned with your team – board, staff, and volunteers.

If you took a professional portrait with Photo Emporium, you can find your photos to download here.

Here are some additional ways you can continue to connect and integrate what you’ve learned:

  • Executive Directors – join us for the next CEO Connect. We offer this safe space to connect quarterly. Sessions are facilitated to offer support, share knowledge and best practices, and learn from the wisdom in the room. The next one is scheduled for July 21.
  • Next gen leaders – join us for Lead Up. This program is for those who are in nonprofit management roles or want to lead in an organization but are not yet executive directors. The next cohort will start this fall, dates TBD.
  • Want to dive deeper into the topics of human resources, board development, and more? Our Certificate in Nonprofit Management program is designed to immediately apply what you learn in class to your workplace. Those who are currently in leadership roles and who have the ability to influence positive change within the organization will receive the most value from the program. The next cohort will be this fall, starting August 21. The deadline to apply is June 9. You can also learn more in smaller bites from our wide-ranging community classes. Check the calendar for our fall offerings.
  • Participate in our Advocacy in Action calls. Every other month, Mike Walsh, Foraker’s Vice President of Public Policy, hosts a dialogue on issues affecting the sector. Mark your calendars for July 13 at 9:00 am for the next call.
  • Diversify your board with our new online tool – Alaska Board Match. This site matches Alaskans ready to serve local nonprofits in need of board members.
And the winners are…
Congratulations to the winners of the Spark Award – Melanie Hooper with Camp Fire Alaska and Elaine Dahlgren with Alaska Sound Celebration Chorus helped us all to think differently and inspired us with their willingness to share at the conference. Each of them won a round-trip Alaska Airlines voucher. Hooray!JJ Harrier with Alaska Addiction Rehabilitation Services, Inc and Jessica Simonsen with thread were the most active in the conference app and competed for points on the Leaderboard.  JJ took first place overall. Congrats!
