Pre-Development

Planning new facilities, expanding existing ones, or renovating requires specialized guidance and resources.

Decide to Proceed or Revise

After working through all the steps in Phase 1 and Phase 2,  you should be relatively confident that your proposed capital project is the right size, affordable, and sustainable. If you’ve answered “yes” to each, you may decide to proceed to development. If any answer is “no,” reevaluate and revise or do not proceed.

Understanding when you are unprepared for Phase 3, or choosing not to proceed to Phase 3, is as successful an outcome as being prepared and moving forward. The goal is to improve the delivery of your service mission, aligned with community needs, without overwhelming your organization.
