Executive Leadership Intensive provides mentoring and community for executive directors in their first three years of leadership. We believe successful leaders are supported leaders. With the Executive Leadership Intensive (ELI), you will be in a safe space where you can find tools and resources to help you grow into your role as executive director. During this program you will strengthen your board relationship, explore management and planning strategies with an experienced mentor, and learn from a network of peers. We are saddened to hear about the passing yesterday of Simone Joyaux, a good friend to Foraker and the nonprofit sector in Alaska. Simone was a key presenter at several Leadership Summits and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Alaska chapter Philanthropy Day conference. She was always popular with participants. Whether she was sharing her knowledge on fund development, volunteerism, or any other aspect of nonprofit leadership, Simone inspired us to reach higher and work harder in service to our missions and communities. Foraker is closed today in honor of Elizabeth Peratrovich, an Alaska Native civil rights activist whose efforts were instrumental in the passing of Alaska’s Anti-Discrimination Act of 1945.
